 Yalikavak enchants visitors with its authentic character and thoroughly laid-back atmosphere.
The main event is the open-air market held every Thursday, a lively and atmospheric affair where visitors and locals
mingle happily side by side. From fragrant spices and traditional ornaments to cut-price leather goods and designer
replicas; there are all manner of bargains to tempt the avid souvenir hunter.
Yalikavak's beaches are predominantly made of shingle and offer protected sea swimming in the calm, blue waters
of this deep, sheltered bay. Alternatively, you can explore Yalikavak's hilly hinterland on foot, rambling along
ancient footpaths in the shade of oak forests and citrus groves, to discover such completely unspoilt hamlets as
Gökçebel just a mile or two inland.
However you choose to spend your days, be sure to return to Yalikavak in time for sunset, when the west-facing
bay and sky erupt in an outburst of vivid pinks and orange. After dinner, a moonlit stroll along the attractive
promenade is the perfect way to round off another day in this charming little resort, which manages to marry cosmopolitan
flair with authentic charm like few others in Turkey.
Leyla Apart is located in a very nice secluded bay, only 15 minutes walking to the Yalikavak harbour.
The busy center of Bodrum is only 15 km away and easily to reach by dolmus.
The airport Bodrum-Milas is 52 km and connected by a highway-like road.
For yacht owners there is the possibility to anchor in our bay or in the newly opened marina.
